123 Supermarine S6B Supermarine 6SB    S1595  Reginald Mitchells final racing float plane design.  High Speed Racing Sea Plane  One Rolls Royce Piston Engine  Max Speed 407.5 mph at 245 ft a world record.  It won the coveted Schneider Trophy outright in 1931, flown by Flt. Lt. J.N. Boothman on 12th September, 1931.  Later that same year it captured the world absolute speed record, namely 407.5 mph.  The pilot was Flt. Lt. George Stainforth.  The contest for the Schneider Trophy ceased in 1931, but the race was revived in the 1980’s.  The actual flying trophy was presented by French armaments maenatio Jacques Schneider in 1913
